Let me start with the amazing Pizza Dough! The dough was smelling faintly of yeast, sweet with a pleasant tang and baked crispy with golden crust. The sauce and toppings were delicious; pepperoni, mushrooms, etc. we all had cocktails and they were perfectly mixed and great selection of Italian options with a Negroni and Aperol Spritz high in the list. Service was good and our party of 6 was comfortable upstairs. It was great to be able to make reservations.

Strong recommend. First time trying this place. We got the couples dinner ($69 per couple) with the regular Stracci pizza. Everything was excellent. Pizza was the highlight. The Roman mezcal-based cocktail was also excellent.

I don't know the alliterative culinary equivalent to the musical axiom, βYou Can't Fake the Funkβ but trust me when I say Stracci has all the things that can't be faked. Kind and earnest service can't be faked. Cooking that is soul-satisfying can't be faked. Like a lot of high-end pizza joints, Stracci's non-pizza dishes are enough of a reason to keep coming back. Before you do anything else, you should order the chicken liver mousse. Eat that while you peruse the menu. Not only is the mousse a cashmere-soft, exceedingly craveable way to start your experience, you make better decisions when you're not so hungry. The meatballs, hamachi crudo, and caponata are some of my other favorites amongst their starters. The cocktail program gets top marks for seasonality, care, and quaffability (is too a word). The wine program is well-curated (more impressive than length to me) with great values at varying price ranges. Dessert isn't my thing, but when my partner tells me a dish is so good that I must take a bite, she is never wrong. She wasn't wrong at Stracci. I would also go to Stracci just for an espresso. Oh, and their playlist is aimed straight at this Gen X Music Lover's heart. T

We showed up on a Friday at 7 PM like people who hadnβt read the syllabus. Forty-five minutes. Outside. In the cold. Standing there like we were auditioning for a film about adults who donβt make reservations. To be fair, we couldnβt. Stracci doesnβt take reservations for parties under five, so the sidewalk is simply part of the experience. If you want to minimize it, arrive at 6:30. The original dinner crowd is finishing up, the cold thins the competition, and you havenβt yet spent nineteen dollars on a cocktail just to survive the wait. The drinks, by the way, are aggressively priced. The people in our party who ordered them seemed very at peace with their choices, so draw your own conclusions. Once inside, our server Ben was running what appeared to be half the restaurant with the serene efficiency of someone who has made peace with the chaos and decided to flourish in it anyway. Personable, attentive, remembered everything. If you get Ben, youβre lucky. If you donβt get Ben, ask for Ben. The food was fresh, light, and made you feel like you were eating with a clear conscience even though you were consuming a serious quantity of bread and cheese. The gigante beans were not a su

Got a gift card from a friend and have heard some folks rave about it. Finally had a chance to check it out. No reservations for parties smaller than 5, so you just show up at 5pm when they open and hope for the best. Service was great and even when a mistake was made they fixed it quickly and made sure we were good to go. We opted to skip the appetizers and salads as none appealed to us. Ordered 4 pizzas insteadβ¦the Stracci, Brooklyner, cheese and chovie, and the erminia. Stracci and brooklyner were fantastic. The other two were way too salty, so 2 for 4 on the pizzas. Dough/crust was great, good balance of crispy and soft. Tiramisu was solid. We enjoyed it but not sure if weβd come back, given the no reservations.
